University Health System Stroke Campaign
“Time is brain” is a well-known medical concept when it comes to stroke. It means that brain tissue is rapidly damaged as a stroke progresses, so the sooner you get help, the better your chances are for recovery. We needed to create awareness around the symptoms of stroke and show that people can survive an attack with timely care from University Health System’s Stroke center. We did this by coming up with a campaign that used a metaphor of a wildfire to illustrate the rate of destruction from a stroke. The campaign included a microsite, digital banners, print, radio and a social campaign. During Stroke Month, UHS saw more than 10,000 visits to strokemovesfast.com. and saw a 24% gain in social media activity and mentions due to their stroke campaign.
