Truth in advertising
It takes a certain type of person to go into advertising. Sometimes you're driven by ego because you want to change the world with your unique set of skills (yes, I realize we’re talking about advertising). And sometimes it pays off. But other times you might just be selling hemorrhoid pads. And you have to be ok with doing both, with putting the same amount of creative energy into selling hemorrhoid pads as you put into working on that non-profit campaign speaking truth to power (that you just know is going to go viral). That’s one of the biggest things I’ve learned in my 19 years of experience. And I’m ok with it. Either way you look at it, we’re getting paid to be creative. So, let’s get together and change the world and sell some hemorrhoid pads while we’re at it.
